Understand Giant Tree of Rapt Brooding
Useful when…
- Use it when SPD is useful to the wearer and the build can reach a healing threshold.
- Consider it for a wearer whose memosprite also benefits from the set's stated Outgoing Healing increase.
How do the thresholds work?
The two-piece bonus increases the wearer's SPD by 6%. At 135 SPD or higher, the wearer and their memosprite gain 12% Outgoing Healing; at 180 SPD or higher, the bonus is 20%. The listed thresholds are alternatives, with the higher threshold providing the higher stated amount.
What is a sensible target?
First decide whether the wearer needs the set's Outgoing Healing. If so, compare the build's SPD with 135 and 180, including the set's 6% SPD increase. The lower threshold provides a healing increase without requiring 180 SPD; the higher amount requires reaching the higher threshold.
How do other planar bonuses differ?
Bone Collection's Serene Demesne trades around a 5,000 Max HP threshold for CRIT DMG to the wearer and memosprite. Arcadia of Woven Dreams scales damage based on the number of allies on the field, and Celestial Differentiator has a CRIT DMG condition tied to CRIT DMG and the wearer's first attack. These do not replace Giant Tree's SPD and healing thresholds unless their distinct effects fit the build better.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The healing bonuses depend on reaching 135 or 180 SPD.
- The set's key healing benefit applies to the wearer and their memosprite, so it is relevant only when those healing effects matter.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Planning around the 20% Outgoing Healing bonus without reaching 180 SPD.
- Ignoring the 135 SPD threshold and assuming the set gives no healing benefit until 180 SPD.
