Understand Accelerated Deflection
Useful when…
- Improving shield recovery on a compatible companion.
- Choosing recharge speed and delay reduction when the companion’s shield capacity is already adequate.
What does it do?
At rank 0, the mod gives +15% Shield Recharge and -7.5% Shield Recharge Delay. At rank 3, the values are +60% and -30%; at rank 5, +90% and -45%. It changes the rate and delay of recharge, not the companion’s maximum shield capacity.
Equipment and installation
This is a companion mod with Vazarin polarity, rank limit 5, and base drain 4. It occupies a standard slot. The supplied identity specifies companion compatibility; it does not identify a narrower companion type or named exclusion.
Rank costs and priorities
Listed example costs include 20 Endo and 966 credits from rank 0 to 1, 80 Endo and 3,864 credits from rank 2 to 3, and 320 Endo and 15,456 credits from rank 4 to 5. Rank 3 is a middle investment with +60% recharge and -30% delay; the final rank adds 30 percentage points to recharge and 15 to delay reduction. Consider that gain against its Endo cost and the mod’s capacity use.
Recharge versus capacity
Calculated Redirection increases shield capacity by +250%, while Link Redirection adds shields based on 125% of the Warframe’s maximum shields. Those address how much shield the companion has, rather than how quickly it recharges. Aerial Bond has airborne-kill and airborne-positioning effects, including a cold field; it is a different companion utility.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Does not increase shield capacity.
- Uses a standard companion mod slot and base drain 4.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the mod to increase maximum shields.
- Treating recharge rate and recharge delay as the same stat.
