Understand Flawed Antitoxin
Useful when…
- Add some Toxin resistance at low mod drain.
- Use it as a limited alternative when standard Antitoxin is not being equipped.
Effect and rank
It grants 5% Toxin Resistance at rank 0, 15% at rank 2, and 20% at its maximum rank of 3. It is a Warframe mod with base drain 2 and Vazarin polarity.
Investment and slot
This is a standard-slot Flawed mod. Its lower maximum rank and 20% resistance cap distinguish it from standard Antitoxin, which reaches 45% at rank 5. The example cost to advance from rank 2 to 3 is 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits.
Choosing between variants
Standard Antitoxin provides more maximum Toxin Resistance but has base drain 4 and a maximum rank of 5. The two mods are explicitly incompatible, so choose one for the slot rather than planning to equip both. Adaptation has a separate trigger: it gains resistance to the damage type that hits the Warframe, stacking up to 90% for 20 seconds.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Toxin Resistance is capped at 20%, less than standard Antitoxin's 45%.
- Its low base drain can help with limited capacity, but the resistance ceiling may not meet a build's needs.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not assume Flawed Antitoxin can be equipped alongside standard Antitoxin.
- Do not treat its 20% maximum as equivalent to the standard mod's 45%.
