Understand Flawed Charged Shell
Useful when…
- Add a modest Electricity bonus to a shotgun.
- Use the flawed variant when its lower listed drain is useful and the reduced maximum bonus is acceptable.
Effect and application
This Flawed variant adds Electricity damage to shotguns: 10% at rank 0, 30% at rank 2, and 40% at rank 3. It occupies a standard slot, has Naramon polarity and base drain 4. It cannot be equipped with Charged Shell or Primed Charged Shell.
Rank and variant tradeoff
Maximum rank 3 grants 40% Electricity, at the cost of more fusion resources than lower ranks. The standard Charged Shell reaches 90% Electricity at rank 5, and Primed Charged Shell lists 165% at rank 10; both have base drain 6. Those are separate variants, and the explicit incompatibility means they cannot be stacked with this flawed mod.
Different shotgun stat option
Accelerated Blast adds Fire Rate and Puncture rather than Electricity. It is a different stat package, so consider it when those listed effects fit the weapon setup better than the flawed elemental bonus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its maximum Electricity bonus is lower than the listed standard and Primed variants.
- It cannot be equipped alongside Charged Shell or Primed Charged Shell.
