Understand Chromatic Blade
Useful when…
- Modify Exalted Blade’s damage type through Excalibur’s Emissive Color.
- Increase Exalted Blade Status Chance, up to +300% at maximum rank.
Effect and rank progression
Chromatic Blade is a standard Excalibur mod with Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 3. At rank 0 it increases Status Chance by 100%; rank 2 gives +250%; rank 3 gives +300%. The damage type changes depending on Excalibur’s Emissive Color, but no color-to-type mapping is specified here.
Investing ranks
The three listed fusion steps cost 30, 60, and 120 Endo, with 1,449, 2,898, and 5,796 Credits. Rank increases the Status Chance bonus, while the color-dependent damage-type effect is described for the augment generally. Choose a rank based on the status increase you want and available fusion resources.
Different Excalibur augment roles
Furious Javelin increases Excalibur’s Melee Damage for 16 seconds per enemy hit by Radial Javelin. Radiant Finish instead increases Finisher Damage against blinded enemies. Purging Slash is identified as a Conclave augment and describes debuff removal and shield restoration for allies along Slash Dash’s path. These affect different abilities or conditions and are not replacements for Chromatic Blade’s Exalted Blade effect.
Common mistake
Do not assume the augment grants a particular element for a particular color without a supported mapping. Its stated +300% is a Status Chance bonus, not a final damage figure.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Requires a standard Excalibur mod slot and base drain 6.
- The desired damage type depends on Emissive Color, and no mapping is specified here.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming an unsupported Emissive Color to damage-type mapping.
- Interpreting the Status Chance bonus as final damage.
