Understand Purging Slash
Useful when…
- Conclave support for allies affected by debuffs or missing Shields.
- Excalibur builds that use Slash Dash and can fit a standard augment slot.
What does it do?
At maximum rank, allies in Slash Dash’s path have 4 debuffs removed and 70% Shields restored. At rank 0, it removes 1 debuff while restoring the same 70% Shields; rank 2 removes 3. The cleansing count scales with rank, while the listed Shield restoration remains 70%.
Use and restrictions
Purging Slash is a Conclave mod for Excalibur, with Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 3. It modifies Slash Dash, so allies need to be in the ability’s path to receive the listed effect. It is explicitly incompatible with Surging Dash.
Rank investment and alternatives
Fusion costs rise from 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits at rank 0 to 1, to 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits at rank 2 to 3. Surging Dash is a standard variant augment that increases Excalibur’s Melee Counter by 8 per enemy hit during Slash Dash. Chromatic Blade affects Exalted Blade, and Furious Javelin affects Radial Javelin; these modify different abilities and purposes, so neither performs Purging Slash’s stated ally cleanse and Shield restoration.
Acquisition
Conclave, Tempest is the listed source; the entry lists a 100% chance.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The support effect requires allies to be in Slash Dash’s path.
- The augment is a Conclave variant and has base drain 6.
- It cannot be equipped with Surging Dash.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting allies outside Slash Dash’s path to receive the effect.
- Equipping it alongside Surging Dash, which is explicitly incompatible.
- Treating its Conclave variant as the standard variant.
