Understand Coil Recharge
Useful when…
- Add recall control and chaining Electricity damage to Coil Horizon.
- Use when the ability’s pull into detonation can take advantage of the additional discharges.
What does the augment add?
Coil Recharge lets Gyratory Sphere be recalled. Enemies in its radius take Electricity damage and chain other enemies; enemies pulled into the detonation suffer additional discharges. The listed damage is 350 at rank 0, 450 at rank 2, and 500 at rank 3. These are the augment’s listed values, not a complete damage calculation.
When does it fit?
This is a standard Gyre mod with Zenurik polarity, maximum rank 3, and base drain 6. Its effect is specific to Coil Horizon, so it is relevant when that ability is part of your plan. The listed Gyre alternatives serve distinct functions: Cathode Current ties kills during Cathode Grace to Rotorswell discharges and duration, Conductive Sphere affects projectiles passing through Arcsphere, and Reverse Rotorswell redirects a portion of received damage. They are separate augment choices rather than interchangeable versions of Coil Recharge.
Rank cost and benefit
Example fusion costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 credits for rank 0→1, 60 Endo and 2,898 credits for 1→2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 credits for 2→3. Rank increases the listed damage, while the recall, chaining, and additional-discharge effects are described as the augment’s functions. Consider the final ranks when that damage increase matters enough to spend the additional resources.
Practical limitation
The augment modifies Coil Horizon; it does not describe a general weapon bonus or an effect for Gyre’s other abilities. Its additional discharges are specifically tied to enemies pulled into the detonation, so do not assume every enemy in the radius receives that additional effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- It spends a standard Warframe slot on one ability’s augment.
- The additional discharges are conditioned on enemies being pulled into detonation.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying the augment’s damage value to Gyre’s weapons or other abilities.
- Assuming additional discharges apply to all enemies in range regardless of the pull condition.
- Ignoring the standard mod slot cost.
