Understand Reverse Rotorswell
Useful when…
- Add damage redirection to a Gyre setup using this augment.
- Choose a rank based on how much of the received damage you want redirected and the fusion investment.
What the augment does
The redirected share is 20% at rank 0, 30% at rank 2, and 35% at rank 3. The effect describes a share of damage received being redirected as Electricity Damage; it does not provide a separate calculation for final damage dealt or specify an activation condition beyond receiving damage.
Mod fit and ranking
This Rare standard Gyre mod has Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 3. Fusion costs rise from 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for rank 0 to 1, to 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits for rank 1 to 2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for rank 2 to 3. The listed redirected share rises from 30% at rank 2 to 35% at rank 3, so that final increase is the benefit to weigh against its fusion cost.
How it differs from other Gyre augments
Cathode Current adds a Rotorswell discharge and extends its duration when an enemy is eliminated while Cathode Grace is active. Coil Recharge changes Gyratory Sphere by allowing recall and adding damage and chaining in its radius. Conductive Sphere affects projectiles passing through Arcsphere, granting guaranteed Electricity Status Effect and +75% Electricity Damage. These listed effects serve different ability interactions from Reverse Rotorswell's damage redirection.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The effect redirects a share of damage received, so its stated trigger depends on Gyre taking damage.
- Higher listed redirection requires investing Endo and Credits in mod fusion.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the redirection percentage as a calculation of final damage dealt.
- Assuming the listed effect requires Rotorswell to be active; that condition is not specified.
