Understand Controlled Slide
Useful when…
- Gain a general Ability Strength bonus on Nezha while accepting the passive being disabled.
- Compare a general Strength bonus with an augment that changes a specific ability.
What does Controlled Slide do?
Controlled Slide is a Nezha-only Exilus mod with Zenurik polarity and base drain 2. It disables Nezha’s passive at every listed rank. Its Ability Strength bonus is 3% at rank 0, 10% at rank 3, and 15% at rank 5. The passive’s effect is not specified here, so weigh the loss of that passive against the Strength bonus for your ability setup.
How should you rank it?
The mod’s maximum rank is 5 (ranks 0–5). Higher listed ranks provide a larger Strength bonus, while the passive remains disabled. Example fusion costs rise across the listed steps: rank 0 to 1 costs 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits; rank 2 to 3 costs 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits; rank 4 to 5 costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits. Rank it further when the added Strength is useful enough to justify the increasing listed costs.
How does it compare with Nezha augments?
Controlled Slide supplies general Ability Strength. The listed augments instead alter particular abilities: Divine Retribution spreads Status Effects among speared enemies and scales spear explosions using remaining Slash, Toxin, and Heat effects; Pyroclastic Flow accumulates Fire Walker damage into a fire trail; Reaping Chakram increases the ring’s damage per enemy hit and improves the chance for enemies to drop Health Orbs on death. Consider an augment for its specified ability effect, rather than as an equivalent source of general Strength.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Disables Nezha’s passive in exchange for Ability Strength.
- The listed later fusion steps require more Endo and Credits than earlier examples.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Evaluating the Strength bonus without accounting for the passive being disabled.
- Treating a specific ability augment as though it provides Controlled Slide’s general Ability Strength bonus.
