Understand Deadly Efficiency
Useful when…
- Gaining a temporary damage increase after reloading from empty.
- Building around Archgun reload timing.
Effect and trigger
At rank 0, reloading from empty grants +20% Damage for 2 seconds. Rank 3 gives +80% for 6 seconds, and rank 5 gives +120% for 9 seconds. The empty reload condition is essential; reloading before the magazine is empty does not match the stated trigger.
Fit and ranking
This standard Archgun mod has Madurai polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 5. Listed fusion examples are 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits from rank 2 to 3, and 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits from rank 4 to 5. Higher ranks increase both the bonus and its duration.
Related Archgun options
Primed Deadly Efficiency has the same reload-from-empty condition, with a listed +220% Damage for 17 seconds, but it is a distinct mod with maximum rank 10. Ammo Chain instead raises maximum ammo by 100%. Archgun Ace triggers on a headshot kill and grants fire/charge rate and reload speed for 9 seconds. Those mods address different triggers or ammunition needs; the primed mod is explicitly incompatible with Deadly Efficiency.
Practical limitation
The bonus is temporary and depends on an empty reload, so its value falls when the weapon is reloaded early or the effect window does not align with useful firing. Do not treat the listed bonus as final Archgun damage.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Requires reloading from empty and lasts only for the listed duration.
- Primed Deadly Efficiency is an incompatible alternative rather than an additional mod to equip alongside it.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reloading before empty and expecting the bonus to activate.
- Trying to equip it together with its explicitly incompatible Primed version.
