Emergent Aftermath

Conclave sniper kill-triggered reload mod

Released Mar 4, 2016

Emergent Aftermath briefly increases reload speed after a kill with a sniper. Consider it for a Conclave sniper setup where kills can be followed by reloads within the short effect window; it provides no reload benefit before the trigger.

Emergent Aftermath GUIDE

Understand Emergent Aftermath

Useful when…

  • Reload a sniper faster after securing a kill.
  • Use the brief post-kill bonus when a reload follows a kill within three seconds.

Effect and condition

At maximum rank, a kill grants +50% Reload Speed for three seconds. Rank 0 grants +12.5% for 0.75 seconds, and rank 2 grants +37.5% for two seconds. The effect is conditional on a kill and temporary; the listed effect does not increase magazine size or provide a passive reload bonus.

Variant and investment

This Rare Conclave sniper mod occupies a standard slot, has Madurai polarity, and base drain 10. It has three ranks; the final rank step costs 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits in the example progression. Rank it when the extra reload speed and duration after a kill justify the investment and you can make use of the short window.

Other reload-related effects

Aero Agility grants reload speed while aim gliding. Depleted Reload grants +48% Reload Speed but reduces magazine capacity by 60%. Sharpshooter instead restores 15 Energy on a weak-point kill. These have different conditions or costs and do not replicate Emergent Aftermath's post-kill reload window.

Acquisition note

Listed sources are Conclave mission rotation entries. The entries describe possible sources and do not guarantee a drop in a given rotation.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Its reload bonus is temporary and requires a kill.
  • The Conclave variant is distinct from standard sniper reload mods.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Expecting reload speed before a kill or after the three-second window.
  • Ignoring the Conclave variant when choosing a mod for a standard loadout.
