Understand Amanata
Useful when…
- Repeated melee hits to trigger the stated blessing roll every 30 hits.
- Polearm reach and standard slam attacks.
Blessing trigger
The weapon description states that every 30 hits roll Koumei’s die and empower the player with one of five blessings; rolling a six grants all blessings at once. No duration, individual blessing effect, or roll probabilities are provided, so the trigger and six outcome are the supported details. Treat the blessing as a periodic benefit rather than a guaranteed effect on each hit.
Melee handling
Amanata’s normal attack lists 126 base damage, with 88.2 Slash and 37.8 Puncture, at 24% critical and 24% status chance. Its listed range is 3 meters, attack speed 1 and follow-through 0.6. Standard slam lists 252 Blast damage over a 7-meter area with 50% reduction; heavy slam lists 378 Blast over 8 meters with 30% reduction. These slam attacks have separate attack entries and should not be confused with the normal strike.
Investment and alternatives
Amanata requires Mastery Rank 2 and has one Madurai polarity. Its balanced listed critical and status chances allow either avenue to be considered, while the blessing trigger rewards landing repeated hits. Dual Heat Swords are dual swords described as able to connect with multiple targets; Ether Reaper is a scythe described as quick. Coda Motovore is a hammer whose wheel gains a buff matching the physical damage type it has been modded for. These alternatives differ in weapon type or stated mechanic, not proven overall strength.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The blessing roll requires 30 hits; it is not described as a per-hit effect.
- The effects and durations of individual blessings are unspecified.
- The normal attack and slam attacks have separate damage and status values.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting a blessing before reaching 30 hits or assuming every roll grants all five.
- Inventing blessing effects or durations that are not specified.
- Treating slam damage as part of each normal polearm hit.
