Understand Atlas Prime
Useful when…
- Close-range ability damage
- Using Petrify to set up increased damage and healing Rubble
- Seeking Atlas’s kit with higher listed base stats
What do the abilities do?
Landslide delivers an explosive punch, repeatable up to a three-hit combo. Each hit expands the attack radius and lowers the energy cost; mods can improve the Landslide Fists. Tectonics creates a rock wall and can send it crashing into enemies on a second activation. Enemy attacks on the Bulwark cause area Slash based on the health it has lost. Petrify fossilizes enemies, raises their damage taken, heals Rumblers, and creates Petrified Bulwarks; shattering petrified enemies produces healing Rubble. Rumblers summon two stone brawlers, petrify nearby enemies on arrival, and leave Rubble when they end.
When does the kit work well?
Landslide is suited to repeated close-range attacks, with successive hits increasing radius and lowering cost. Petrify supports damage against affected enemies and gives Atlas a route to healing Rubble when they are shattered. Tectonics provides a wall that can also be sent forward, while Rumblers add melee pressure and petrify nearby enemies when summoned.
What does Prime add?
Atlas Prime’s listed stats are 550 Health, 455 Shield, and 500 Armor, compared with Atlas’s 270 Health, 270 Shield, and 475 Armor. It has four listed mod polarities—Naramon, Vazarin, and two Madurai—compared with Atlas’s three. Both descriptions list immunity to knockdown while on the ground and the same abilities. Consider the Prime version for its listed stat and polarity differences, rather than expecting a different ability kit.
What should you avoid assuming?
The combo bonuses for Landslide depend on consecutive hits. Tectonics’ Slash effect is tied to damage the Bulwark has taken, and Rubble from petrified enemies requires shattering them. Rumblers produce Rubble when they finish, not simply when summoned.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The Prime version retains the same described abilities, so its stated differences are base stats and polarities.
- Landslide’s escalating combo benefits require successive hits.
- Rubble sources have specific conditions.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming Atlas Prime has different listed abilities from Atlas.
- Expecting the Landslide combo bonuses on its opening hit.
- Confusing Rubble from shattered petrified enemies with the Rubble left when Rumblers end.
