Understand Bo
Useful when…
- Use normal attacks for the listed Impact-heavy profile.
- Use regular and heavy slams as distinct area attacks.
- Compare with Amphis when choosing between staffs with different listed attack profiles.
Normal attacks
Normal attacks list 140 damage: 126 Impact and 14 Puncture. They have 12.5% critical chance, a 2× critical multiplier, and 20% status chance, at 1 attack per second.
Slam attacks
Regular slams are area Impact attacks listing 280 damage, 10% status chance, and falloff out to 6 m. Heavy slams separately list 420 Blast damage, 10% status chance, and falloff out to 7 m. The description says the staff can send multiple enemies airborne; no numeric effect for that description is given in the attack data.
Handling and comparison
Bo lists 3 m range, 0.5 follow-through, a 0.5-second heavy-attack wind-up, a five-second combo duration, and a Vazarin polarity. Amphis is another staff, with 13% critical chance and listed Electricity damage on regular and heavy slams. Bo's listed normal attack damage is 140; the comparison describes it as a reinforced staff that can send multiple enemies airborne.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Normal attacks are heavily Impact-weighted.
- The listed critical chance is 12.5%.
- Slam attacks have area falloff and list 10% status chance, compared with 20% for normal attacks.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not apply the slam modes' 10% status chance to normal attacks.
- Do not claim Electricity damage for Bo; its listed attacks show Impact, Puncture, and Blast.
- Do not turn the airborne-enemy description into a numeric effect not listed in the attack data.
