Understand Destreza
Useful when…
- Use normal attacks for repeated Puncture-heavy strikes with a 28% critical chance.
- Use slam modes when you want their separate Impact or Blast area damage.
- Take advantage of its listed Madurai polarity when matching mods to slots.
How does the normal attack handle?
The normal attack deals 134.3 Puncture, 19.75 Slash, and 3.95 Impact damage, with 28% critical chance, 2× critical multiplier, and 14% status chance. Listed attack speed is 1, range is 2.5, and follow-through is 0.7. This makes its normal profile strongly weighted toward Puncture rather than Slash or Impact.
What do its slam modes do?
The slam is an area attack dealing 316 Impact damage, with falloff from 0 to 6 meters and 50% reduction at the far end. Heavy slam deals 474 Blast damage, with falloff from 0 to 7 meters and 30% reduction at the far end. These modes have different listed status chances from the normal attack, so do not assume the normal attack’s 14% chance applies to them.
What investment fits the profile?
Its 28% critical chance and 2× multiplier provide a useful critical foundation, while the 14% normal status chance is more modest. It has one listed Madurai polarity, which can help when fitting a compatible mod.
How does it compare with other options?
Endura is also a mastery-rank-7 rapier, but its listed critical chance is 10% versus Destreza’s 28%; its multiplier is 2× for both. Destreza Prime requires mastery rank 10 and lists 32% critical chance and a 3× multiplier, so it is a later progression option with stronger listed critical stats. Anku is a scythe, not a rapier, and suits a player who specifically wants a different weapon type.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Normal attacks are heavily Puncture-weighted and have 14% status chance.
- Its slam modes deal different damage types and use separate status chances.
- Destreza Prime has higher listed critical stats but requires mastery rank 10.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Using the normal attack’s status chance for slam attacks, which have their own listed chances.
- Assuming its Puncture-heavy normal attacks have the same profile as its Impact and Blast slam modes.
- Treating Destreza Prime as an immediate replacement when it requires a higher mastery rank.
