Understand Endura
Useful when…
- Use for close melee where repeated normal strikes can benefit from its 36% status chance.
- Consider its quick Heavy Attack wind-up and area slam modes when those attack choices fit your play.
How do its attack modes differ?
Normal attacks deal 200 total damage: 140 Puncture, 50 Slash, and 10 Impact. They have 10% critical chance, a 2× critical multiplier, and 36% status chance. The regular Slam Attack is an area attack dealing 400 Impact, with 50% falloff from 0 to 6 metres. The Heavy Slam Attack is also area damage, dealing 600 Blast with 30% falloff from 0 to 7 metres. These slam status chances are each listed as 10%, distinct from the normal attack’s 36%.
When should you use it?
Endura’s normal damage is mostly Puncture, and its comparatively high listed normal-attack status chance can suit a status-oriented approach. Its listed range is 2.5 and follow-through is 0.7, while its Heavy Attack wind-up is 0.5 seconds. The data supports using it as a close-range rapier with distinct normal, slam, and heavy-slam options; it does not specify additional special effects or attack conditions.
What does it ask of an investment?
The 10% critical chance is modest alongside the 36% normal-attack status chance, so status-oriented investment is a sensible conditional direction if you want to reinforce what its normal strikes already emphasize. It has one Madurai polarity and requires Mastery Rank 7. Destreza is also a Mastery Rank 7 rapier, but its listed critical chance is 28% versus Endura’s 10%; that makes Destreza a comparison for a more critical-focused starting profile, not proof of overall superiority.
What alternatives change the handling?
Anku is a scythe with a lower listed Mastery requirement of 3, while Cadus is a staff requiring 4; neither is a like-for-like rapier comparison. Destreza is the directly relevant candidate because it shares Endura’s rapier type and Mastery requirement, with the notable difference in listed critical chance.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Normal attacks have modest 10% critical chance despite 2× critical multiplier.
- Normal attack status chance is 36%, but slam-mode status chances are only listed as 10%.
- Area slam damage falls off over distance.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not apply the 36% normal-attack status chance to either slam mode; each lists 10%.
- Do not treat a rapier comparison’s critical chance as proof of overall performance.
