Understand Dex Dakra
Useful when…
- Use normal attacks for repeated Slash-heavy melee strikes.
- Use slam attacks for their listed Blast area damage.
- Fit a compatible mod into its Naramon polarity.
What are the normal attacks?
Normal attacks deal 113.6 Slash, 14.2 Impact, and 14.2 Puncture damage. They have 16% critical chance, a 2× multiplier, and 24% status chance; listed speed is 0.883 and range is 2.5. Its follow-through is 0.5, so its attack profile is best understood as close-range dual swords with a majority of damage in Slash.
What do the slam attacks do?
The slam is an area attack dealing 284 Blast damage, with falloff from 0 to 8 meters and 50% reduction at the end. Heavy slam deals 426 Blast, with falloff from 0 to 9 meters and 30% reduction at the end. Both list 10% status chance, distinct from the normal strike’s 24%.
What investment suits it?
The 24% normal status chance is higher than its 16% critical chance, while the 2× critical multiplier gives a usable critical baseline. The listed Naramon polarity can help fit a compatible mod. It is more naturally supported by status-focused or mixed investment than by assuming its critical stats alone define the weapon.
How does it compare with other melee types?
Dex Nikana is a different weapon type requiring mastery rank 8, with listed 24% critical chance and a 2.6× multiplier. Dragon Nikana also requires rank 8 and lists 22% critical chance and a 2× multiplier. Those comparisons may interest players who prefer a Nikana, but they do not make either a direct dual-sword substitute. Cerata is a glaive, another distinct handling choice.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Normal strikes are Slash-heavy and status-leaning, with 16% critical chance.
- Slam attacks have a separate Blast profile and 10% status chance.
- Nikanas and glaives listed as alternatives have different weapon types and handling.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying the normal attack’s 24% status chance to the slam modes.
- Assuming the Blast slam damage is part of the normal strike’s damage mix.
- Treating a Nikana or glaive as a direct handling substitute for dual swords.
