Dual Raza

Critical-focused dual-sword melee weapon

Released Apr 9, 2015

Dual Raza is a dual-sword weapon with a 25% critical chance and 3x multiplier, but its normal attack is relatively measured and lists only 10% status chance. Consider it when you want a critical-led melee option and accept its slower listed attack speed.

Understand Dual Raza

Useful when…

  • Use normal attacks for close-range physical damage with a strong listed critical multiplier.
  • Use slam modes for area attacks, keeping their damage types distinct.

Normal attacks

The normal attack lists 110 total damage: 66 Slash, 33 Puncture, and 11 Impact. Speed is 0.917, critical chance 25%, multiplier 3x, and status chance 10%. The critical profile stands out against that lower status chance; no bonus from the Soma firearm is specified beyond the weapon's design association in its description.

Slam attacks

A regular slam deals 220 Impact area damage, with falloff from 0 to 8 m and 50% reduction. A heavy slam deals 330 Blast area damage, with falloff from 0 to 9 m and 30% reduction. Both list 10% status chance; these attacks do not use the normal attack's physical damage distribution.

Investment and weapon-family choices

Dual Raza requires Mastery Rank 6, lists 2.4 m range, and requires a Dual Kamas in its recipe. Its Vazarin polarity can inform mod slot planning. Gunsen is a Warfan with different handling; Hirudo is Sparring and its description explicitly says it steals health on critical hits. Ankyros is a Fist weapon described as fast but short-ranged. These options serve different handling or utility preferences rather than defining an automatic upgrade path.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The 25% critical chance and 3x multiplier are paired with 10% normal status chance.
  • Its 0.917 attack speed is lower than the faster dual-sword examples in this input.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Do not assume the association with Soma grants a firearm or melee bonus; none is specified.
  • Do not overlook that the recipe requires a Dual Kamas.
