Understand Hildryn Prime
Useful when…
- Stripping nearby enemies’ Shields and Armor while replenishing her own Shields and Overshields.
- Removing Status Effects from herself and allies with Pillage.
- Supporting allies with Haven’s shield aura and using Aegis Storm to lift nearby enemies.
Abilities and conditions
Balefire charges and launches electrical bolts. Pillage takes a percentage of nearby enemies’ Shields and Armor to replenish Hildryn Prime’s Shields and Overshields, and removes Status Effects from her and allies. Haven creates a shield aura around allies and deals Radiation Damage to enemies that approach Hildryn. Aegis Storm lets her take to the skies and rain down Balefire rockets; nearby enemies are lifted and generate an Energy Orb every few seconds. When Shields run out, those enemies are smashed into the ground. Her passive allows up to 3.5 seconds of invulnerability after her Shields are depleted. Hildryn’s description says her abilities are powered by Shields, which can be recharged with Energy.
Stats and polarities
Hildryn Prime lists 1,380 Shields, 270 Health, and 315 Armor. Her polarities are two Vazarin and one Naramon, with a Naramon aura polarity. Standard Hildryn lists 1,280 Shields and 180 Health, so the Prime has 100 more Shields and 90 more Health. The extra Naramon polarity may help match a build’s mod slots.
Using the kit
Pillage links offense and survival by taking enemy Shields and Armor while replenishing Hildryn Prime’s Shields and Overshields; it also cleanses Status Effects from her and allies. Haven provides an ally shield aura and damages approaching enemies. Aegis Storm lifts nearby enemies and generates Energy Orbs every few seconds; its ground slam occurs when Shields run out. The listed Prime improvements are higher Health and Shields and an additional Naramon polarity; the supplied ability descriptions give no distinct Prime ability effects.
Comparison context
Oberon is described as supporting allies through healing and command of the natural world. That description does not establish Hildryn Prime’s enemy Shield and Armor stripping, Status Effect removal, or shield-based mechanics. Oberon Prime is described as a forest guardian with altered mod polarities for greater customization.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Her listed abilities and passive emphasize Shields, and the passive’s invulnerability after depletion lasts up to 3.5 seconds.
- Aegis Storm’s Energy Orb generation occurs every few seconds, and its ground slam is conditional on Shields running out.
- The listed Prime differences are Health, Shields, and polarity; no different ability effects are described.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the passive’s invulnerability as lasting longer than its stated maximum of 3.5 seconds.
- Overlooking Pillage’s Status Effect removal and Shield replenishment.
- Assuming Aegis Storm’s ground slam occurs independently of Shield depletion.
