Understand Oberon Prime
Useful when…
- Supporting allies with Renewal and Hallowed Ground.
- Removing target defenses with Smite or enemy Armor with Reckoning.
- Using Health Orb collection to grant protection against an instance of damage.
Support and defense removal
Renewal provides an aura that heals allies over time and grants Oberon and his allies bonus Armor. Healing doubles while they are within Hallowed Ground, which also deals Radiation damage to enemies and protects Oberon and allies against Status Effects. Smite removes all defenses, including Overguard, from its target and deals a portion of its damage to nearby enemies. Reckoning lifts and hurls enemies, removes their Armor, and hit enemies can grant Oberon additional Armor and have a chance to spawn a Health Orb when killed.
Passive and stats
When Oberon Prime collects Health Orbs, his passive grants Righteous Negation to himself and allies in Affinity Range. It protects against the next instance of damage, stacking up to an unresolved maximum. His listed stats are 365 Health, 270 Shields, 450 Armor, and 215 Power. The stack limit, orb chance, and ability scaling are not numerically supplied.
Prime differences and fitting
Compared with the supplied base Oberon, Oberon Prime has the same Health and Shields, 65 more Armor, 40 more Power, and four listed polarities rather than two: two Naramon and two Madurai, with a Madurai aura polarity. The ability descriptions match. These are stat and configuration distinctions; they do not establish a different support effect or a required level of investment.
Positioning and alternatives
Renewal’s doubled healing requires allies to be inside Hallowed Ground; the description does not say the healing doubles everywhere in Renewal’s aura. Nyx Prime is described around enemy confusion and weapon support, while Trinity Prime is described as a healing-focused ally defender. Those descriptions indicate different emphases and do not establish either as a direct replacement for Oberon Prime’s combined Hallowed Ground and Renewal interaction.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The doubled Renewal healing is conditional on Hallowed Ground positioning.
- Passive stack cap and chance-based effects have no supplied numeric values.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming doubled Renewal healing applies outside Hallowed Ground.
- Reading the Prime’s altered polarities as evidence that its listed abilities behave differently.
