Understand Nyx Prime
Useful when…
- Turning groups against one another with Chaos.
- Weakening defenses with tracking Psychic Bolts.
- Pairing confused enemies with Nyx’s conditional weapon benefits.
Control and damage tools
Mind Control makes one target fight for the Tenno cause; that target has increased Radiation Status Chance and an increased Damage Multiplier when Nyx shoots it. Psychic Bolts track nearby enemies, weaken defenses, transfer a portion to Nyx, and scatter extra bolts to new targets when enemies are slain. Chaos disorients enemies in a wide radius and makes them attack random factions. Absorb converts damage dealt to Nyx and damage confused enemies deal to each other into a radial blast, followed by brief invulnerability and a Weapon Damage boost proportional to absorbed damage.
Conditional passive and build fit
Nyx Prime’s passive increases Primary and Secondary weapon critical chance for each confused enemy within Affinity Range, up to a stated maximum. Both the per-enemy amount and cap are unresolved placeholders, so they cannot be quantified. Her listed stats are 270 Health, 365 Shields, 135 Armor, and 175 Power; her polarities are Madurai, Naramon, and Vazarin, with a Naramon aura polarity. These provide concrete fitting differences from the base Nyx, not a guaranteed result for any particular setup.
Prime comparison
Compared with the supplied Nyx entry, Nyx Prime has the same Health and Power, 95 more Shields, 30 more Armor, and one additional Vazarin polarity. Their listed abilities and passive wording are the same. The Prime’s differences therefore support a choice based on stats and mod fit; the input does not establish new ability effects or a need to own both versions.
Limitations and alternatives
The passive requires confused enemies within Affinity Range, so confusion alone does not guarantee its full effect. Absorb varies with damage collected. Oberon Prime is described around healing and ally protection, while Oberon’s base stats differ substantially; those frames have a different stated support focus and are not presented as equivalents to Nyx Prime’s enemy manipulation.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The passive’s amount and cap are unspecified, and its condition requires confused enemies in Affinity Range.
- Absorb’s results depend on damage collected.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting confused enemies outside Affinity Range toward the passive.
- Assuming Prime changes the abilities when the supplied ability descriptions match Nyx’s.
