Understand Lex Prime
Useful when…
- Use the normal hitscan attack for direct shots.
- Consider the Incarnon attack separately, accounting for its projectile speed and listed falloff.
Normal and Incarnon attacks
The normal attack is hitscan at speed 2.08, with 180 physical damage: 18 Impact, 144 Puncture, and 18 Slash. It has 25% critical chance, 2× critical multiplier, and 25% status chance. Incarnon Form is a projectile at speed 0.67, with 400 Impact and 800 Radiation damage, 35% critical chance, 3× critical multiplier, and 44% status chance. Its damage lists a 33.33% reduction from 10 to 18 metres. Activation conditions are unspecified.
Handling
Lex Prime has accuracy 16, an 8-round magazine, and a 2.35-second reload. The normal attack is hitscan, while Incarnon Form is a projectile with listed falloff, so the two attacks have different range behavior.
Requirements and base Lex comparison
Lex Prime requires Mastery Rank 8, has rank cap 30, and lists a Madurai polarity. Its normal attack lists 180 damage and a 25% critical chance. The Lex comparison describes both weapons as powerful, accurate pistols with low fire rate and magazine capacity, and describes the format as efficient at long range.
Contrasting sidearm formats
The Viper comparison describes a full-auto pistol with high fire rate, small magazine, and fast reload. Bronco Prime is a shotgun sidearm described as having increased magazine capacity and damage while trading for lower fire rate. These offer different firing formats from Lex Prime.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The magazine holds 8 rounds and reloads in 2.35 seconds.
- Incarnon Form is a projectile attack with falloff, unlike the normal hitscan attack.
- Incarnon activation conditions are unspecified.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not apply Incarnon damage, status chance, or falloff to the normal attack.
- Do not interpret the Never Vaulted tag as acquisition instructions.
- Do not combine the Prime and base Lex records as one weapon.
