Understand Redeemer Prime
Useful when…
- Use its normal attack for a melee profile weighted toward Slash.
- Use the charged ranged attack for a hitscan Blast shot, accounting for its charge time and falloff.
- Choose between regular and heavy slams based on their separate damage types and falloff.
Normal and ranged attacks
Normal attacks deal 21.2 Impact, 42.4 Puncture, and 148.4 Slash, with 24% critical chance, a 2.2× critical multiplier, and 30% status chance. The ranged attack takes 0.4 seconds to charge and fires a hitscan shot dealing 80 Blast damage. It has the same listed critical stats and 9% status chance. Ranged damage falloff starts at 10 m and reaches a 93.75% reduction at 30 m.
Regular and heavy slams
A regular slam deals 424 Impact in an area, with 28% status chance and 50% falloff reduction by 5 m. A heavy slam deals 636 Blast, with 10% status chance and 30% falloff reduction by 6 m. The weapon lists 2 m melee range, a 0.4-second heavy attack wind-up, and a 5-second combo duration.
Handling and comparisons
Redeemer Prime has two Madurai polarities, 0.5 follow-through, and a 45° blocking angle. Destreza Prime is a Mastery Rank 10 rapier with 32% critical chance and a 3× multiplier. Vastilok is a Mastery Rank 9 gunblade with 19% critical chance and a 1.7× multiplier. Anku is a Mastery Rank 3 scythe. These figures identify differences in type and listed critical stats; they do not by themselves establish which weapon performs better.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The ranged shot requires a 0.4-second charge and has substantial listed falloff by 30 m.
- Heavy slams have 10% status chance, compared with 30% for normal attacks and 28% for regular slams.
- The attack modes have different damage profiles and should be considered separately.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the ranged shot to fire without charging.
- Treating regular and heavy slams as having the same damage type or status chance.
- Expecting full ranged damage at 30 m.
