Understand Scindo Prime
Useful when…
- Using Slash-heavy normal attacks with a higher listed critical and status profile than the standard Scindo.
- Using Heavy Slam for area Blast damage.
- Choosing a heavy blade over a thrown or long-reaching melee weapon.
Attacks and handling
Normal attacks deal 250 listed physical damage, including 200 Slash, at about 0.967 attacks per second. They have 26% critical chance, a 2.4× critical multiplier, and 24% status chance. Regular Slam deals 500 Impact in an area, with 10% status chance and falloff to 50% reduction by 8 m. Heavy Slam deals 750 Blast, with 10% status chance and falloff to 30% reduction by 9 m. Scindo Prime has a 2.7 m range, 0.6 follow-through, and 1.1 s heavy-attack wind-up.
Investment considerations
The weapon lists one Madurai polarity, which can help when matching compatible mods. The attack data supports a comparison of its normal strikes, slams, and handling, but does not determine a final build or total damage. Prioritize the mode you intend to use rather than treating its higher slam values as its only role.
Other melee roles
Glaive Prime is described as effective in close combat and throwable at a distance. Orthos Prime is a lightweight polearm, while Venato Prime is a scythe with a different weapon class. Their supplied descriptions offer class and handling contrasts; no direct performance ranking follows from them.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Heavy attacks require a 1.1 s wind-up.
- The slow heavy-blade attack style may not suit players seeking a thrown or lightweight weapon.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not conflate regular Slam’s Impact damage with Heavy Slam’s Blast damage.
- Do not treat the Prime label or listed attack stats as a universal ranking over different weapon classes.
