Understand Skana Prime
Useful when…
- Sword melee with a faster listed attack rate than Skana.
- Normal attacks where its higher critical chance and multiplier are relevant.
- Area slams using Impact or Blast damage.
Attack profile
Skana Prime's normal attack lists 210 damage: 147 Slash, 31.5 Impact, and 31.5 Puncture. Listed attack speed is 1, critical chance 26%, critical multiplier 2.6, and status chance 26%. Its range is 2.5, and heavy-attack wind-up is 0.6 seconds. It requires mastery 12.
Separate slam modes
Standard slam deals 420 Impact in an area, with falloff from 0 to 7 range and 50% reduction. Heavy slam deals 630 Blast, with falloff from 0 to 8 and 30% reduction. Both list 10% status chance, distinct from the normal attack's 26%. Two polarities are listed: Madurai and Naramon.
Comparison and investment
Compared with Skana, the Prime has higher listed normal damage, critical chance, critical multiplier, and status chance, and its attack speed is 1 versus Skana's 0.833. Skana requires no mastery rank, whereas Skana Prime requires 12. Pangolin Sword is a lower-mastery sword candidate, but its supplied comparison has only critical chance and multiplier, not detailed attack stats; Cadus is a mastery-4 staff rather than a sword.
Limits
The Prime tag does not itself establish acquisition availability. Keep the stronger normal-attack Slash profile separate from the Impact standard slam and Blast heavy slam when choosing attack modes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Higher listed normal damage and critical properties than Skana, with a mastery-12 requirement.
- Normal attacks are slash-weighted; slams use Impact or Blast.
- Two listed polarities may affect mod-slot planning.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Comparing Skana Prime's normal attacks to Skana's slam values as if they were the same mode.
- Assuming the Prime tag establishes how or whether it is currently acquired.
- Forgetting the Prime requires mastery 12 when comparing it with Skana.
