Understand Tekko Prime
Useful when…
- Use normal attacks for its slash-heavy damage and mixed critical/status profile.
- Consider it when you want a Prime fist weapon with two Madurai polarities.
- Compare it with Tekko if you value the listed improvements in critical multiplier, status chance, and attack speed.
What does it do in combat?
Normal attacks deal 39.6 impact, 25.2 puncture, and 115.2 slash damage, with 30% critical chance, 2.4× critical multiplier, and 26% status chance. Listed attack speed is 1 and range is 1.35 m. Slam Attack deals 360 impact in an area, with falloff from 0 to 8 m and 50% reduction; Heavy Slam deals 540 blast with falloff from 0 to 9 m and 30% reduction. Heavy Attack wind-up is 0.6 seconds.
What improves over Tekko?
Compared with Tekko’s listed values, Tekko Prime keeps 30% critical chance while raising critical multiplier from 2× to 2.4×, normal status chance from 10% to 26%, and attack speed from 0.917 to 1. Its listed range rises from 1.25 m to 1.35 m. Both are slash-weighted fist weapons, but Tekko Prime’s two Madurai polarities differ from Tekko’s single Madurai polarity.
Where does investment make sense?
Its normal strikes support a mixed critical and status direction, and the two built-in Madurai polarities are a practical mod-slot consideration. If you primarily use slams, remember their 10% status chance differs from the normal attack’s 26%. Coda Caustacyst is a scythe with its own improved damage, status, critical damage, and longer-duration acid pools, rather than a fist-weapon substitute.
What should players keep in mind?
Despite the improvement over Tekko, its 1.35 m range remains short, so it requires close positioning. Its attack-mode values are distinct: normal attacks list 26% status chance, while Slam and Heavy Slam list 10%. Do not assume the comparison weapons’ critical stats alone establish a better fit for the same close-range style.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Short 1.35 m listed range.
- Slam modes list lower status chance than normal attacks.
- Fist melee requires close positioning.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not apply normal-attack status chance to its Slam or Heavy Slam modes.
- Do not overlook its short listed melee range when evaluating attack speed and damage.
