Understand Tekko
Useful when…
- Use normal attacks for its 112 slash damage alongside impact and puncture.
- Consider it for critical-oriented fist melee at its listed 30% critical chance.
- Use Atlas if you want the weapon’s stated frame-specific status chance increase.
What are its attack characteristics?
Normal attacks deal 32 impact, 16 puncture, and 112 slash damage, with 30% critical chance, 2× critical multiplier, and 10% status chance. Listed attack speed is 0.917, range is 1.25 m, and Heavy Attack wind-up is 0.6 seconds. Slam Attack deals 320 impact in an area, with falloff from 0 to 8 m and 50% reduction; Heavy Slam deals 480 blast, with falloff from 0 to 9 m and 30% reduction.
What does Atlas add?
The weapon description says Tekko receives a Status Chance increase when wielded by Atlas. It provides no amount, so treat that as a frame-specific property without assigning a numeric value. Its listed normal status chance is 10%; do not confuse that baseline with the unspecified Atlas increase or extend it to every attack mode without evidence.
How should you invest?
Tekko’s 30% critical chance is notably higher than its 10% listed normal status chance, making critical-focused investment a reasonable conditional direction for general use. Atlas players can also consider the stated status increase, while keeping its unspecified magnitude in mind. Dorrclave has a kill/assist-triggered spectral state with guaranteed status effects for ten attacks, and Dual Keres Prime has stronger listed critical values; each has a different weapon class and mechanic rather than replacing Tekko’s fist handling.
What are its practical limits?
Its listed range is only 1.25 m, so its fist-class reach is short compared with longer melee types. Normal attacks have a 0.917 speed and 10% status chance; the slam entries also list 10% status chance. The one Madurai polarity is useful when choosing compatible mods, but does not itself establish a preferred final build.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Short 1.25 m listed melee range.
- Normal attack speed is 0.917.
- Atlas’s status chance bonus has no stated numeric amount.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not assume the Atlas status increase has a particular percentage; none is given.
- Do not overlook the 1.25 m listed range when choosing a close-range weapon.
