Understand Tipedo Prime
Useful when…
- Use the Normal Attack profile as the basis for evaluating its Slash-heavy regular strikes: 136 of its 170 listed damage is Slash.
- Evaluate regular and heavy slams separately when considering area damage; their damage types, status chances, and falloff differ.
- Take its Vazarin and Madurai starting polarities into account when planning mod slots.
What does the Normal Attack do?
The Normal Attack has 170 listed damage: 136 Slash, 17 Impact, and 17 Puncture. It lists 24% critical chance, a 2.4× critical multiplier, and 24% status chance, with an attack speed of 1.17. These values describe the Normal Attack; they do not carry over to the slam entries, which have their own listed profiles.
How do the slam attacks differ?
The regular Slam Attack lists 340 Impact damage, 10% status chance, and area falloff ending at 6 m with a 50% reduction. The Heavy Slam Attack is a separate mode: it lists 510 Blast damage, 10% status chance, and falloff ending at 7 m with a 30% reduction. The weapon also lists 850 heavy-attack damage; do not substitute that figure for the Heavy Slam Attack's 510 Blast damage.
What handling and mod-slot details matter?
Tipedo Prime has 3 m listed range, a 60-degree blocking angle, 0.5 follow-through, and a 5-second combo duration. Its heavy-attack wind-up is 0.5 seconds. It has a rank cap of 30 and starts with Vazarin and Madurai polarities, which can inform slot planning. These figures describe the weapon; they do not establish a particular build's final damage.
What does its recipe and the comparison set tell you?
The crafting recipe calls for one blueprint, one handle, two ornaments, and 15 Orokin Cells, with a build time of 43,200 seconds (12 hours). The weapon carries a Vaulted tag, but that tag alone does not establish whether or how it can currently be obtained. The comparison set includes Praedos, a tonfa requiring Mastery Rank 14; Dual Heat Swords, dual swords requiring Rank 3; and Fang Prime, dual daggers requiring Rank 10. Those facts identify different weapon types and requirements, but do not provide attack or handling details for a direct performance comparison.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The Normal Attack is Slash-heavy, while regular and heavy slams have separate Impact and Blast profiles.
- The heavy-attack damage listing of 850 is distinct from the Heavy Slam Attack's 510 Blast damage.
- Its listed 3 m range and 0.5-second heavy wind-up are relevant handling constraints.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the 850 heavy-attack damage listing as the Heavy Slam Attack's 510 Blast damage.
- Applying the Normal Attack's damage or status chance to either slam mode.
- Assuming the Vaulted tag establishes current acquisition availability.
