Understand Venka
Useful when…
- Close combat centered on ordinary melee strikes.
- Ground slams against nearby groups when the listed area attacks suit the situation.
How its attacks handle
The normal attack deals 140 listed damage: 98 Slash, 35 Puncture and 7 Impact, with 15% critical chance, a 2× critical multiplier and 15% status chance. Its listed attack speed is 1 and range is 1.75. A regular slam is a separate area attack: 280 Impact, with falloff from 0 to 6 and 50% reduction. A heavy slam deals 420 Blast, with falloff from 0 to 7 and 30% reduction. These attack modes have 10% status chance each; do not read their damage as part of the normal strike.
Choosing and investing
Venka requires Mastery Rank 4 and can be ranked to 30. For a lower mastery requirement and a different handling option, Skana is a sword requiring no mastery ranks; the Glaive is a thrown melee option requiring Rank 1. Destreza is a rapier requiring Rank 7 and has higher listed critical chance, but these are category and stat comparisons, not proof of overall superiority.
Limits to keep in mind
The listed range is 1.75, so Venka is a close-range choice. The ordinary attack has more Slash than either other physical damage type, while the slam modes use Impact or Blast instead; choose the mode deliberately. The supplied record gives crafting inputs and a 12-hour build time, but no guaranteed current acquisition route.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Short listed melee range.
- Normal attacks and slam attacks use different damage profiles.
- No innate polarity is listed.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not confuse the normal attack’s 15% status chance with the slam attacks’ 10%.
- Do not assume the slam attack damage figures describe ordinary strikes.
