Understand Wisp Prime
Useful when…
- Granting allies motes for healing, speed, or nearby stuns
- Teleporting to a Reservoir or spectral image
- Using Breach Surge and Sol Gate for control and damage
Support and movement effects
Reservoirs supplies selectable Motes that attach to Wisp and allies: Haste increases movement and attack speed, Vitality increases maximum health and heals over time, and Shock stuns nearby enemies. Wil-O-Wisp sends a distracting spectral image forward; recast to teleport to it, or hold to send it faster and teleport when released. Wisp’s passive grants invisibility to enemies while she is airborne.
Control and damage abilities
Breach Surge opens a breach that overwhelms nearby enemies and makes them release aggressive sparks when damaged. Targeting a Reservoir with the ability teleports Wisp there and doubles the surge’s range. Sol Gate fires a solar plasma beam; holding fire doubles damage but raises energy consumption. Enemies damaged during an attack become increasingly vulnerable to Sol Gate for that attack’s duration. These effects make Reservoir placement relevant to both support and Breach Surge use, while the beam’s held mode carries an explicit energy tradeoff.
Prime stats and sensible investment
Wisp Prime’s listed stats are 270 Health, 270 Shield, and 210 Armor, compared with ordinary Wisp’s 180 Shield and 185 Armor. Prime also lists sprint speed 1.25, and Madurai, Vazarin, and Naramon mod polarities; its aura polarity is Naramon. The listed ability descriptions are the same as Wisp’s, so these comparisons support a stat and mod-fit distinction rather than a different support role. Voruna’s comparison describes a melee- and status-oriented kit, not Wisp’s mote support. Choose the Prime’s fitting advantages only if they help the intended mod setup; no special upgrade track is given.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The held Sol Gate mode consumes more energy even as it doubles damage.
- Prime’s listed differences are stats and mod-fitting options; the described ability kit remains the same.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating Sol Gate’s doubled damage as having no energy cost.
- Assuming the Prime has a different Reservoir or Breach Surge effect.
- Expecting Breach Surge to double range without targeting a Reservoir.
