Understand Gladiator Finesse
Useful when…
- Adding an Energy-dependent lethal-damage safeguard
- Using a Vazarin-polarity standard Warframe mod
Effect and condition
The mod drains Energy to stop lethal damage. Its listed Efficiency is +10% at rank 0, +40% at rank 3, and +60% at rank 5.
Fit and upgrade costs
Gladiator Finesse is a standard Warframe mod with Vazarin polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 5. Listed examples cost 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits from rank 2 to 3, and 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits from rank 4 to 5. The final step is a substantial investment for a higher listed efficiency value.
Related options
Flawed Quick Thinking is also described as draining Energy to stop lethal damage, with +80% Efficiency, but it is explicitly a flawed variant with a maximum rank of 3. Adrenaline Boost is a Conclave mod that trades -20% Health for +50% Energy; Archon Flow increases Energy maximum and has a Cold-ability Energy Orb effect. These effects do not replace Finesse's listed lethal-damage prevention role.
Practical caution
Because the effect consumes Energy, it depends on having Energy available when lethal damage occurs. Do not treat the listed efficiency as proof that the effect is unlimited or that it will trigger without an Energy cost.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Consumes Energy when stopping lethal damage.
- High-rank investment rises steeply in Endo and Credits.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating it as a passive effect that needs no Energy.
- Assuming the supplied efficiency value specifies the amount of Energy consumed.
