Understand Link Fiber
Useful when…
- Increase companion armor using a percentage of the Warframe's armor.
Effect and dependency
At maximum rank, Link Fiber adds armor equal to +125% of the Warframe's armor; rank 0 adds +11%, and rank 5 adds +68%. Because the amount is tied to the Warframe's armor, the benefit depends on that value. It is a standard Companion mod with Vazarin polarity and base drain 4.
Ranking tradeoff
The mod has ten ranks. The listed 9→10 step costs 10,240 Endo and 494,592 Credits for the increase from +113% to +125% of Warframe armor. A lower rank costs less to reach but provides a smaller linked bonus.
Different companion defenses
Metal Fiber instead lists +250% armor, without describing its value as a percentage of Warframe armor; it is explicitly incompatible with Link Fiber. Accelerated Deflection increases shield recharge and reduces shield recharge delay, while Aerial Bond has airborne conditions and a cold field effect. Those mods address different stats and conditions rather than replicating Link Fiber's armor link.
Listed sources
The listed drops include Drahk, Kubrow, Tamm, and an Earth cache Rotation C reward. These are possible sources in the supplied reward list, not guarantees.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its armor bonus is based on Warframe armor, so its value varies with that stat.
- Cannot be equipped with Metal Fiber.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading +125% of Warframe armor as a flat armor bonus.
- Trying to equip Link Fiber and Metal Fiber together despite their incompatibility.
