Understand Flawed Maglev
Useful when…
- Use it to favor longer, less friction-limited slides during movement.
- Consider it when its Naramon polarity fits your configuration and the mobility gain matters more than another standard-slot option.
What changes as it ranks up?
At rank 0, Flawed Maglev gives +5% Slide and -5% Friction. At its maximum rank of 3, those become +20% Slide and -20% Friction. It is a standard Warframe mod with Naramon polarity, base drain 6, and the Flawed variant is explicitly incompatible with the named Maglev mod.
When is it useful?
Its two listed effects both support sliding: slide increases while friction decreases. That makes it relevant when you want to maintain or extend slide movement. It does not list a damage, survival, or ability bonus, so its value depends on whether this movement behavior is useful in your configuration.
How much should you invest?
The mod has three fusion ranks above rank 0. The listed steps cost 20, 40, then 80 Endo and 966, 1,932, then 3,864 Credits. Higher ranks raise both effects, so rank it only as far as the added slide and friction changes justify the investment and mod capacity for you.
Slot and variant considerations
This is a standard-slot Warframe mod, not an Exilus mod. Its Naramon polarity is a relevant fit consideration when arranging a build. Adept Surge is a Conclave variant for an Exilus slot that lists +10% Mobility and -25 Health; it has different effects and slot compatibility, so it is not a direct replacement for Flawed Maglev's slide and friction bonuses.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Fusion increases the two movement bonuses but uses Endo, Credits, and mod capacity.
- Its standard-slot fit competes with other standard Warframe mods.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not treat Flawed Maglev as compatible with Maglev; the named exclusion is explicit.
- Do not assume this is an Exilus mod; it uses a standard slot.
