Understand Magnetic Capacity
Useful when…
- Use it on a Rifle build that can make use of added Magnetic and a larger magazine.
- Consider it when magazine capacity is useful but you also want the listed Magnetic bonus, rather than using a capacity-only mod.
Effects and compatibility
At rank 0, Magnetic Capacity gives +15% Magnetic and +10% Magazine Capacity; at its maximum rank of 3, the bonuses are +60% and +40%, respectively. It is a standard Rifle mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 4. Its magazine effect is a percentage bonus, not a stated fixed number of rounds.
Practical use and alternatives
The combined effect can suit a Rifle where both added Magnetic and magazine capacity are wanted. If magazine capacity alone is the goal, the listed alternatives are capacity-only: Flawed Magazine Warp gives +12%, Magazine Warp +30%, and Primed Magazine Warp +55%. Those values do not include Magnetic, so they trade away the paired effect this mod provides.
Rank costs and fit
The listed steps cost 30, 60, then 120 Endo and 1,449, 2,898, then 5,796 Credits. Both bonuses increase with rank, up to +60% Magnetic and +40% Magazine Capacity. It takes a standard Rifle slot, so consider the slot and capacity cost alongside whether you need both effects.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The dual bonus saves relying solely on a capacity effect but uses a standard Rifle slot and capacity.
- Capacity-only alternatives list higher magazine bonuses at their stated values but do not provide Magnetic.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not assume the magazine bonus adds a fixed number of rounds; it is listed as a percentage.
- Do not install it on non-Rifle equipment.
