Understand Piercing Roar
Useful when…
- Add a 25 m knockdown and five Puncture status stacks to Roar at maximum rank.
- Use as a Rhino ability-focused choice when its crowd control fits the build.
What does it add to Roar?
The augment increases Roar’s range by 40%. Enemies within its radius are knocked down and receive five Puncture status stacks. The radius scales from 10 m at rank 0 to 20 m at rank 2 and 25 m at rank 3.
When is it useful?
Consider it when you want Roar to cover more area and interrupt enemies close to Rhino. The knockdown and Puncture effects are limited by the listed radius; this mod does not describe a damage increase to Roar.
Rank and slot considerations
This is a standard Rhino mod with Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and a maximum rank of 3. Rank it further if expanding the knockdown radius matters: the listed radius reaches 20 m at rank 2 and 25 m at rank 3. Each rank costs additional Endo and Credits, with the final listed step costing 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits.
How it differs from other Rhino augments
Other Rhino augments serve different effects: Iron Shrapnel detonates Iron Skin on recast, Ironclad Charge grants Armor after Charge hits, and Reinforcing Stomp replenishes Iron Skin health for affected enemies. They are alternatives when those specific mechanics matter; they do not provide Piercing Roar’s stated Roar range and crowd control.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses a standard mod slot and requires Rhino.
- Higher ranks increase the crowd-control radius but require additional fusion resources.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the knockdown radius is 25 m at every rank; it starts at 10 m.
- Treating the listed 40% range bonus as a direct Roar damage increase.
