Understand Quick Return
Useful when…
- Reduce bounce count on compatible thrown melee weapons.
- Use the Naramon polarity and standard slot where they suit the weapon’s configuration.
Effect and compatibility
Quick Return reduces bounce count by 1 at rank 0, 3 at rank 2, and 4 at rank 3. It is a standard Thrown Melee mod with Naramon polarity and 4 base drain. It is explicitly incompatible with Volatile Quick Return, Volatile Rebound, and Rebound.
Ranking costs
The mod has three ranks. Listed fusion costs rise from 10 Endo and 483 Credits for the first step to 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits for rank 2 to 3. Higher ranks reduce bounce count further; invest if that handling change is useful for your thrown melee weapon.
Related bounce effects
Rebound increases bounce count by 4. Volatile Quick Return reduces bounce count by 4 and adds blast radius and a chance to explode on bounce, but disables Punch Through. Volatile Rebound also adds an explosion chance on bounce and disables Punch Through. All three are explicitly listed as incompatible with Quick Return, so they cannot be equipped together with it.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Bounce reduction changes thrown-weapon handling and may not suit a desired bounce pattern.
- Explicit incompatibilities prevent equipping it alongside the named Rebound variants.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Trying to equip Quick Return alongside Rebound, Volatile Quick Return, or Volatile Rebound.
- Assuming reduced bounce count grants the explosion effects listed on the Volatile mods.
