Understand Redirection
Useful when…
- Add shield capacity to a Warframe build where a larger shield pool supports the intended survival approach.
- Use lower ranks when you want some capacity while conserving Endo, credits, or mod capacity.
Effect and equipment
Redirection is a standard Warframe mod with Vazarin polarity. It adds Shield Capacity, scaling from +9% at rank 0 to +55% at rank 5 and +100% at rank 10. It does not state a resistance bonus or a health increase; its defined effect is capacity.
When to use it
Consider Redirection when you want your Warframe to have more shield capacity and the slot cost fits the build. The mod's capacity bonus is direct and unconditional in the provided effect, but whether a larger shield pool is useful depends on the rest of the Warframe setup. It occupies a standard Warframe mod slot, so it displaces another mod choice.
Rank costs and pacing
Redirection has 10 ranks. The supplied examples show 10 Endo and 483 credits for rank 0→1, 320 Endo and 15,456 credits for rank 5→6, and 5,120 Endo and 247,296 credits for rank 9→10. Those examples show the sharply larger cost at high ranks. If you need only part of the capacity bonus, stopping short of rank 10 preserves resources; the provided rank values are +55% at rank 5 and +100% at rank 10.
Comparisons and limitations
Primed Redirection lists +180% Shield Capacity, while Flawed Redirection lists +25%; they are separate variants, and Redirection's incompatibility list names both, so they cannot be equipped alongside it. Adaptation has a different effect: it builds resistance to a damage type after taking that damage, up to 90%, rather than increasing shield capacity. The supplied acquisition entries include enemy drops and Earth/Cetus level 5–15 bounty Rotation A; those entries describe possible sources rather than guaranteeing availability in every current session.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The bonus increases shield capacity only; it does not itself grant damage resistance or health.
- The final ranks have substantially higher listed fusion costs.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating increased Shield Capacity as damage resistance; the listed effect only changes capacity.
- Trying to equip Redirection with Primed Redirection or Flawed Redirection, which are explicitly listed as incompatible.
- Spending for the final ranks without considering the much higher listed Endo and credit costs.
