Understand Regen
Useful when…
- Equip on a Sentinel when reducing its recovery time after destruction is useful.
- Use when the listed 10-second invulnerability window on revival helps the Sentinel resume its support role.
Recovery and revival
Regen is a Sentinel precept with Penjaga polarity. It reduces Sentinel recovery time by 5 seconds at rank 0, 14 seconds at rank 3, and 20 seconds at rank 5. The Sentinel revives with 10 seconds of invulnerability at each listed rank. The effect improves recovery after destruction; it does not stop that destruction from happening.
Use and slot
The mod is compatible with Sentinels and occupies a standard slot, with base drain 2. Consider it when the Sentinel's return is useful to your mission setup. It is not an attack precept: Assault Mode separately tells a Sentinel to attack the first visible enemy within 30 m.
Rank cost
Regen ranks to 5. Supplied fusion examples list 10 Endo and 483 credits for 0→1, 40 Endo and 1,932 credits for 2→3, and 160 Endo and 7,728 credits for 4→5. The invulnerability duration remains 10 seconds in the listed ranks, while recovery-time reduction increases. Primed Regen lists a 35-second reduction with the same 10-second invulnerability, but has a higher rank cap and listed base drain of 4; it is an alternative, not a second copy to use alongside Regen, which explicitly names it as incompatible.
Other Sentinel roles
Assault Mode is an attack behavior precept, while Fired Up adds Heat Damage per hit to a weapon and stacks up to 100%, resetting after five seconds without hits. These do not replace Regen's recovery function; they are separate Sentinel mod choices with distinct effects.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The mod shortens recovery after destruction rather than preventing it.
- The listed invulnerability on revival is fixed at 10 seconds across the provided ranks.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming Regen prevents the Sentinel from being destroyed in the first place.
- Equipping it alongside Primed Regen despite the stated incompatibility.
- Confusing the recovery precept with Assault Mode's attack behavior.
