Understand Revealing Spores
Useful when…
- Saryn builds using Spores and wanting infected enemies shown on the minimap
- Combat or exploration where additional Enemy Radar is useful
Radar effect and scaling
At maximum rank, infected enemies within 40 m appear on the minimap and the mod adds +40 Enemy Radar. At rank 0, the radius and radar bonus are 10 m and +10; rank 2 gives 30 m and +30. The minimap visibility condition is specifically tied to enemies infected by Spores.
Fit and rank investment
Revealing Spores is a Saryn-compatible Exilus mod with Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 3. Ranking expands the reveal radius and adds the same amount of Enemy Radar at the listed ranks. The fusion examples show increasing Endo and credit costs, so rank it according to the coverage you need from infected enemies.
Other Saryn augment purposes
Venom Dose is described as granting allies within 15 m +100% Corrosive Damage to attacks for 40 seconds when holding to cast Spores. Contagion Cloud creates a 5 m toxic cloud for 12 seconds on each kill, dealing 300 Toxin damage per second and doubling that damage for melee kills. Regenerative Molt grants Saryn 50 Health per second for 10 seconds after casting Molt. These support damage, kill-triggered area damage, and recovery, respectively, rather than Revealing Spores’ radar function.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Enemy minimap visibility applies to enemies infected by Spores within the stated radius.
- Uses an Exilus slot and base drain 6.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming all enemies are revealed regardless of Spores infection.
- Expecting the maximum 40 m reveal radius and +40 Enemy Radar at low rank.
