Understand Venom Dose
Useful when…
- Grant nearby allies a timed Corrosive Damage bonus by holding the Spores cast.
- Rank it when the larger listed bonus and longer duration justify the fusion cost.
Effect and conditions
Holding the Spores cast grants allies within 15m additional Corrosive Damage to their attacks. At rank 0, the listed bonus is 50% for 28 seconds; rank 2 gives 80% for 36 seconds; rank 3 gives 100% for 40 seconds. The supplied effect does not establish whether Saryn herself receives the bonus. The percentage describes added damage, not a final attack damage total.
Compatibility and investment
Venom Dose is a Rare, standard-slot Saryn augment with Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 3. The final rank step, 2→3, costs 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits, increasing both the bonus and its duration. This step is most relevant when you want the listed increase from 80% for 36 seconds to 100% for 40 seconds.
Other Saryn augment effects
The other listed Saryn augments address different needs: Revealing Spores shows infected enemies within 40m on the minimap and adds +40 Enemy Radar; Contagion Cloud creates 5m toxic clouds on kills for 12 seconds, with twice the listed strength for melee kills; Regenerative Molt restores 50 Health/s for 10 seconds after casting Molt. These effects do not provide Venom Dose’s stated ally damage bonus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The bonus requires a held Spores cast and applies to allies within 15m.
- The bonus has a limited listed duration.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Using a tap cast and expecting the held-cast augment effect.
- Expecting allies outside 15m to receive the bonus.
- Assuming Saryn is included among the stated recipients.
- Treating the listed added damage percentage as final attack damage.
