Understand Singularity
Useful when…
- Pulling enemies toward a recurring ring while using Nyx’s Absorb.
- Grouping enemies for follow-up attacks or control, when the pull effect suits the encounter.
Effect and conditions
While Absorb is active, Singularity creates a ring every 3 seconds. At rank 0 it drags enemies at 9 m/s; rank 2 raises that to 13 m/s; rank 3 reaches 15 m/s. The supplied effect does not give a pull radius or specify which enemies are immune, so those details should not be assumed.
Equipping and improving it
This is a Zenurik-polarity, rank-3 Conclave variant for Nyx, with base drain 6. It is incompatible with Assimilate, so the two cannot be equipped together. Rank investment improves the pull speed, with increasing listed Endo and Credit costs; prioritize ranks if faster grouping is worth that investment for your use of Absorb.
How it differs from other Nyx augments
Assimilate changes Absorb so Nyx can use weapons and its duration becomes infinite, at the stated cost of 6.5 Energy/s and half the area of effect; it cannot be equipped with Singularity. Chaos Sphere applies Chaos to enemies entering its shrinking effect range, while Mind Freak improves the damage, movement speed, and attack speed of a Mind Controlled target. Those augment different Nyx abilities or change Absorb in a different way.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Requires using Absorb and occupies a Mod slot for a pull effect.
- Cannot be equipped together with Assimilate.
- Its rank investment improves pull speed, not the listed three-second interval.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming Singularity can be equipped with Assimilate; it is explicitly incompatible.
- Expecting ranks to change the three-second ring interval; only pull speed changes in the listed effects.
