Understand Smite Infusion
Useful when…
- Use the held Smite cast when allies are within the augment's radius.
- Rank it when longer buff duration and a larger granted Radiation bonus justify the Endo and credits.
Effect and cast condition
Smite Infusion is a Rare Oberon augment with Zenurik polarity and base drain 6. Holding to cast Smite grants nearby allies additional Radiation damage on their attacks. At rank 0, the stated radius is 15 m, the bonus is 50%, and duration is 28 seconds; at rank 3, the stated values are 15 m, 100%, and 40 seconds. The input identifies the held cast as the trigger and allies within the radius as recipients.
Rank investment
The augment has three ranks above rank 0. Its listed steps cost 30, 60, and 120 Endo, plus 1,449, 2,898, and 5,796 credits. Rank 2 lists an 80% bonus for 36 seconds; rank 3 increases that to 100% for 40 seconds. Prioritize the ranks if improving the buff's strength and uptime is central to how you use held Smite.
How it differs from other augments
Phoenix Renewal adds a survival effect to Renewal, Hallowed Eruption changes Hallowed Ground, and Hallowed Reckoning adds effects to Reckoning. Those augments affect different abilities and do not provide Smite Infusion's attack damage buff, so they are alternatives only when building around those other abilities.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses a mod slot for a buff that requires the held Smite cast and allies to be in range.
- The bonus and duration are lower at rank 0 than at rank 3.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Tapping Smite when expecting the augment's explicitly held-cast buff.
- Casting while allies are outside the stated range and expecting them to receive the buff.
