Vigilante Fervor

Primary fire-rate mod

Released Oct 12, 2017

Vigilante Fervor increases a primary weapon's fire rate, with double the listed bonus for bows. At max rank that is +45% for other primaries and +90% for bows. Consider it when the faster firing or bow handling fits the weapon and build.

Vigilante Fervor GUIDE

Understand Vigilante Fervor

Useful when…

  • Use on a primary weapon when increased fire rate is useful; the listed bow bonus is doubled.

Fire-rate effect

The listed bonus is +7.5% at rank 0 and +30% at rank 3, reaching +45% at rank 5. Bows receive twice the listed bonus, so the max-rank bow value is +90%.

Use and slot

This is a standard primary mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 4. The explicit bow condition matters: do not apply the bow multiplier to other primary weapons. Whether to slot it depends on the weapon and whether fire rate is useful for its handling.

Rank costs and comparisons

The mod reaches rank 5; the rank 4 to 5 step costs 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits. Combustion Beam provides a delayed kill explosion, while Aero Periphery changes zoom during aim gliding. Hunter Munitions' supplied effect is incomplete. These comparisons do not provide the same fire-rate effect.

Acquisition

Listed sources include Plains Commander and Earth/Cetus level 20–40 bounty Rotation C. The reward entries show differing chances and rarity labels; they are separate entries.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The increase consumes a standard slot.
  • The bow-specific multiplier does not apply to other primary weapons.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Applying the doubled bow bonus to non-bow primaries.
  • Treating a listed fire-rate bonus as a direct final-damage value.
