Divinity: Original Sin · Progression system
Ability point costs
Raising an ability costs points equal to the target level, and the supplied table lists cumulative costs through level five.
How it works
The ability page says each upgrade costs ability points equal to the level being reached. Its table lists cumulative costs of 1, 3, 6, 10, and 15 points for levels 1 through 5. Gear and Traits do not reduce ability-leveling costs, though their bonuses add to total ability level for effects.
