Choose a form for the effect you need, and invest in that form’s own combat talent tracks.
Pyro★★★★Gaming’s Skill lets him leap and immediately perform Charmed Cloudstrider, a Pyro Plunging Attack that consumes HP. His Burst heals him, summons Man Chai, and can reset the Skill when they reunite; consider him when you want a plunge-centered Pyro play pattern.
Electro★★★★★Keqing is an Electro sword character whose skill places a Lightning Stiletto that she can either blink to or detonate with a Charged Attack. Recasting the skill grants Electro infusion, while her low-cost burst delivers multiple nearby Electro hits. Consider her when you want mobile Electro damage and control over how the skill’s mark is used.

Consider her when you want to adapt the Traveler to a form’s particular damage, elemental application, or support mechanics.
Geo★★★★Ningguang’s normal-to-charged attack pattern converts Star Jades into extra damage, and her passive removes the charged attack’s stamina cost when she has any Star Jades. Her Jade Screen blocks opponents’ projectiles and can add projectiles to her burst when nearby.
Cryo★★★★★Qiqi's healing scales from ATK. Her skill follows the active character and supports healing through her normal and charged attacks, while her burst marks nearby opponents so the character damaging them restores HP. Her healing is reliable when these conditions are active, though the burst costs 80 Energy.
Cryo★★★★★Shenhe supports Cryo damage through Icy Quills that add damage based on her current ATK, plus a Burst field that reduces enemy Cryo and Physical RES. Use her when party members can deal repeated Cryo hits and benefit from the quill quota, field debuffs, or her attack-type-specific bonus.
Anemo★★★★★Xiao is a Polearm user whose Burst greatly increases his jumping ability, attack area, and damage while converting his attacks to Anemo. Consider him when you want a field attacker built around repeated Plunging Attacks; his Burst drains his HP and ends if he leaves the field.
Hydro★★★★★Yelan’s Elemental Burst creates coordinated Hydro attacks when the active character uses Normal Attacks, letting her contribute damage while another character is on field. Her skill adds HP-scaling damage and fast movement, and her burst gradually increases the active character’s damage while it remains active.
