None★★★★★Aether’s value depends on the chosen form: the abilities range from Anemo grouping and elemental absorption to Cryo crystal attacks, Dendro field support, Electro energy effects, Geo constructs, Hydro aimed attacks and Pyro coordinated damage. Choose a form for the effect you need, and invest in that form’s own combat talent tracks.
Geo★★★★★Albedo is a sword user whose Elemental Skill places a Geo construct that can repeatedly add AoE Geo damage when opponents take damage inside its field. Consider him when you want a skill-based damage source that can remain active while another character attacks. His burst adds a separate AoE hit and, if his own Solar Isotoma is present, seven additional blossoms. The burst also grants nearby party members Elemental Mastery for 10 seconds. His kit therefore offers a sustained skill effect plus a burst option, but the skill's follow-ups have a two-second trigger limit and depend on the field remaining useful.
Hydro★★★★Dahlia's Burst gives the party a Hydro-effective shield and Normal Attack speed, with Benison stacks allowing replacement shields. Consider him for parties that use Normal Attacks and can trigger Frozen to build additional Benison.
Pyro★★★★★Durin is a Pyro sword character whose skill enters one of two 30-second states, each changing his burst behavior. Confirmation of Purity produces a following area-attacking dragon and conditional resistance reduction; Denial of Darkness produces a dragon that periodically attacks one nearby opponent and increases his Vaporize and Melt damage. Consider him when you can deliberately select the burst mode that matches the reactions and damage pattern you want.
Electro★★★★Fischl summons Oz to attack nearby opponents with Electro damage. Consider her when you want recurring off-field Electro hits, especially when your active character can trigger Electro-related reactions while Oz is present.
Cryo★★★★Kaeya is a Cryo sword character whose skill deals a quick frontal Cryo hit and whose burst follows the active character with orbiting icicles. Consider him when you want Cryo application near the active character, a repeatable short-cooldown skill, or an exploration passive that reduces sprinting Stamina use.
Electro★★★★Lisa is an Electro catalyst user whose skill can be tapped for a quick homing hit or held for a stronger strike that gains damage from Conductive stacks. Her burst creates a persistent lightning field that knocks opponents back and lowers their DEF when it hits. Consider her when you can use the stack-and-hold skill or want repeated Electro damage from the burst.
None★★★★★Lumine uses a sword and can take Anemo, Cryo, Dendro, Electro, Geo, Hydro, or Pyro form. Each form has its own normal attack, skill, and burst track; their shared sword attacks are five-hit combos, two-hit charged attacks costing 20 Stamina, and plunging attacks. Consider her when you want to adapt the Traveler to a form’s particular damage, elemental application, or support mechanics.
Cryo★★★★Mika is a four-star Cryo polearm character whose skill grants Soulwind, increasing ATK SPD, and whose burst heals the party and enables follow-up healing on Normal Attack hits. Detector stacks can increase Physical DMG for the on-field character when generated.
Cryo★★★★Rosaria's skill moves her behind an opponent when its size permits and deals Cryo damage. Her burst places an Ice Lance that repeatedly damages nearby opponents. Casting the burst increases nearby teammates' CRIT Rate based on Rosaria's own CRIT Rate, capped at 15%.
Anemo★★★★★Venti uses Anemo crowd control to gather opponents with his Burst and can launch enemies with his Skill. Consider him when enemies can be affected by the Stormeye’s pull or when you value his energy restoration and gliding utility. His Burst absorbs one eligible element at most once per use, so its added damage depends on contact with an elemental type.
